Main Entrance

The entrance arch has been built on the lines of the eastern gate of Mysore Palace. The height is 50 feet and width is 165 feet. Also, it is illuminated with 9,000 bulbs on the liens of Palace again

Business stalls

A total of 125 stalls are available in ‘A’ block, measuring 10 feet in width and 12 feet long, followed by 20 in ‘B’ block and 46 in ‘C’ block. To facilitate the movement of visitors with ease, a three feet wide passage is developed.

Fountains

To give a soothing experience to the visitors and tourists, fountains have been constructed at the main entrance, besides 60 water sprinklers alongside the walking arena inside the exhibition. A music fountain on the lines of brindavan garden has also been constructed near to the amusement park, along with ‘surprise fountain’ at Children’s Park and ‘Ball Fountain’ at the centre of the exhibition.

Power facility

A 124 KV capacity power line has been drawn by Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) to light up various buildings, pump borewell and street lights in the premises. Two dedicated generators with the capacity of 625 KV and one of the capacity of 63 KV have been installed at the cost of Rs 60 lakh to ensure power during the exhibition. The overhead cables have been replaced by underground cables and the power facility is ensured with control panels where ever it is deemed necessary.

Kannada Karanji Building

This building came up in commemmoration of Vishwa Kannada Sammelana (World Kannada Meet) held in 1985. It has a total of 56 stalls comprising both ground and first floor, suitable for exhibition. The carpet length here is measured at 31,000 sq feet.

Rangamandira

Two rangamandira (stage for programmes) have been constructed in the precincts of the exhibition. Among them B V Karantha Rangamandira has four green rooms, and has a seating capacity of two thousand. P Kalingarao Rangamandira has two green rooms. It’s an open air theatre also having the capacity to accommodate two thousand people.

D Devaraj Urs Multi-purpose Stadium

The facility, beside Dasara Exhibition Grounds was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.04 crore granted by the government in 1997. It is constructed on the lines of a stadium and the capacity of the gallery is one thousand people.

Garden

Gardens have been developed opposite to the main entrance, ‘A’ block, around ball fountain, in front of district pavillion, next to power house. Modern fancy lights have been installed enhancing the beauty of the gardens.

Entertainment

A total of two acres of area at the southern part of the exhibition is reserved for entertainment alone. Amusement Park comes up at the same area every year and the job is entrusted to the concerned party through contract. Lakhs of people are utilising the facility every year. The other attractions include- four compartments sky track mono rail installed at the cost of Rs 25 lakh at the centre of the exhibition. Each compartments can accommodate two persons. For children’s alone various toys have been put up at the parks near Chamundi Block, right side of P Kalingarao Rangamandira and main entrance. A total of 40 swings have been installed alongside from the main entrance to district pavilion.

Drinking Water

A total of five borewells have been dug and also authority will cator Minral water through awarded contractor during exhibition to quench the thirst of both the visitors and tenants.

Parking

A vast place opposite to the main entrance has been earmarked for vehicles parking facility every year. The contract will be awarded through tender

Toilets

For the benefit of visitors, toilets have been constructed near ‘A’ block, Chamundi block, ‘C’ block, amusement park and Kannada Karanji building.

Roads

A concrete road up to the stretch of two km from the main entrance to Rangamandira, having a width of four metre has been laid out. Apart from this, asphalted road from Chamundi block to Amusement park, Amusement park to Kannada Karanji building passing through C block and up to main entrance is laid out covering a total of five km in five metre width.
